Welcome to the Sun Post!

The Sun Post was started on November 11, 2005, as a weekly newspaper delivered free to more than 20,000 homes in Lathrop and Manteca.
Now it’s a Web site, too, and it continues its efforts to cover the news and connect the entire community. Sun Post reporters, editor and sales representatives work out of the downtown Manteca office at 126 W. Yosemite Ave. The paper is delivered every Friday. Here’s more information:

GETTING THE PAPER
We distribute the Sun Post on Fridays to 23,509 addresses in Lathrop and Manteca. Voluntary subscriptions are $15 in-county, and $55 out of area annually. Subscriptions must be prepaid and are nonrefundable.

ADVERTISING
To place a display or classified ad, contact the Sun Post for an advertising representative. Deadlines: Retail advertising — noon Tuesdays; classified liners — noon Wednesdays; classified display ads — 5 p.m. Tuesdays. Ads may be e-mailed to spadvertising@sunpost.net.

OPINIONS
Columns on our Opinion page reflect the opinions of the authors. Our editorials represent the opinions of owner/publisher Robert S. Matthews. We welcome your letters to the editor on all subjects of public interest. Mail, drop off or e-mail letters to spletters@sunpost.net. Letters must include the writer’s name and city (for publication) and telephone number (for verification). We reserve the right to edit all letters, which will be printed as space permits. A good rule of thumb for length is 300 words per letter.

CORRECTIONS
We make every effort to avoid errors in advertisements and stories. However, mistakes do slip through. To report errors, call us as soon as possible, and we will try to correct them.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
If your newspaper doesn’t arrive on Fridays or you would like to stop your newspaper, don’t hesitate to let us know. We also have extra copies in our office if you need them.

STOPPING BY
The office of the Sun Post is at 126 W. Yosemite Ave., Manteca. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
